Matthew M. Welna, through his humility and passion, taught an entire generation of Sayreville War Memorial and Rider University alumni how to approach life with respect and dignity. In his honor, the Matthew M. Welna Foundation will offer a scholarship to the Sayreville graduate and Rider University Soccer athlete who most embodies the grace, commitment and warmth, shown originally by their most beloved student.
